The Heart

The heart,


So powerful that if stopped for a mere few seconds the body shuts down,

Yet so sensitive that it can be pierced by harsh words.

How is it possible that something so strong can be so weak?

Isn't it ironic?

We all go through suffering and pain,

Wishing there was a band aid that could cover up the broken heart when it bleeds,

Time heals,

It makes us forget about the heart ache and pain.

We are able to love again and create new memories in this book called life.

A new chapter can begin,

The pages can be filled with new lines that make you smile,

The heart,

You are so powerful and almighty,

You can control my entire being,

But I have power over you if I allow it.
