Inopportunity,

That is our reality,

We meet,

We connect.



I like you and you like me,

Its pretty simple can't you see?

If only relationships were that easy!

You so want to be with me when you are in my company,

But then you go home and have an epiphany.


You don't know where lifes road will lead you,

You can't lie to yourself,

Nor can you lie to me.

You avoid confrontation,

You don't want it to end,

But how much longer are you willing to pretend?


I cave in,

I voice my feelings,

You feel terrible so you share yours.

What a shame it is,

For all that could be,

But at the moment it is an inopportunity can't you see?


We understand each other,

We are able to communicate,

I'm glad we did so before it was too late.

I never close the doors,

That's a good way to succeed,

For you never know where lifes road will lead..
